I have just installed a Pioneer 106 but when I select send to DVD the destination tab says no burner available. The 106 is recognised by the computer and I have tried it both in the master and slave position but no difference. The firmware version is 1.07.
The burner tab shows the capacity if a disc is in the recorder but the burner itself is not identified. Search produces nothing. How can I add the 106 to the Edition Lists?

Re-install the program.

Many thanks. I feared that that might be the answser. If I re-install Liquid Edition, will I lose the films that I am at present working on? If so, I shall finish them and dump to tape before re-installing.

I've noticed DVD programs tend to 'lose' the burner if the burner is changed or taken off the IDE ribbon. I've seen this happen with both Nero and RecordNow, a re-install proved a quick fix.

I don't know what will happen to your films if you re-install: in many programs you only need to save the footage and project files to be able to re-create your work, but I don't use Liquid and can't comment. However, your idea is a good, sensible failsafe and is what I'd do in your situation.

Hopefully someone can help, or you could experiment (once your film is finished and safe) and post your results back here for others.
