Hi,
I just installed AVmaster NT v2.5:
Abit BP6 with 2 Celeron 466 processors
256 MB memory
Viper 770 32Mb
WindowsNT sp6a
DirectX v6
Installation ok.
No conflicts IRQ or Base-adress.
AVmaster Fast capture starts fine. However the "window" turns up with a red cross through it.
Connected a analogue Sony videocam to it.
Sound is allright.
Anyone ideas?
Thanx Jaap
Normally the last picture in the "window" freezes at the moment you press capture.
What shows on the output....does the capture picture go through to the tv ok?
Is this just an alternative to the frozen picture under the nt software?
Is it causing a problem?
Hi Jimmy,
The red cross in the window appears directly after Fast capture is started.
I don't have a tv connected to the pc.
Do you mean that under NT now picture is shown on the PC monitor?
Thanx for replying,
Jaap
By "window" I assume you mean the capture window?
So you dont get a picture from your video source at all in the capture window? Is this what you mean?
Sorry, yes I mean the capture window.
I 've searched the web but found no clue to why a red cross could/should appear in it.
I know it doesnt help but I have heard of this before.......definently! Unless it was you who posted this before? If it wasnt then someone else had the same problem!
Did you try the AVM on NT before you installed sp6?
ok ok I found the answer!!!!
2 things
1. You should NOT use video overlay on the AVM under NT and...
2. You MUST have a monitor connected to the video out.
The only thing I am not clear on is whether this means you have to use the MONITOR socket on the back of the AVM or maybe it just means you must have the video OUT connected to your vcr or tv.
