AVMaster/Premiere 6 Problems

I wonder whether you or any of your readers could answer my questions re problems pertaining to subject in question.

I have an AVMaster capture card and use Premiere 6 to edit my videos. Lately i have been having problems with the rendering. I had a problem with playing back the exported videos in Fast Capture as i was getting an error namely "Bad Interleave - cannot play back videos". Then on rendering a clip, i was getting a jittery picture divided into 16 horizontal lines. Then i was not being allowed to export as i was getting the MSVCRT.dll error and the IAC25_32.AX error. I have downloaded a fix for the MSVCRT.dll, uninstalled AVMaster and Premiere and reinstalled both. It seemed to work oK until i tried exporting once again and got the message to close or ignore with the AVMCSC.dll error. Unfortunately, i tried finding a fix for this on the net but to no avail.

Can anyone help me re Bad interleave in AVMaster, the 16 horizontal bands and more important a fix for the AVMCSC.dll as without this i suppose i will not be able to continue editing with this card which is a pity.

I dont use premiere so cant help there but are you certain you are using the correct drivers?

Are you also aware that the AVM was designed to work with Media Studio Pro not Premiere. I am sure you could pick up a copy of MSP6 very cheap! Just a thought........

I used a FAST AV Master for a long time with Premiere v4.2 which was fully supported by FAST with appropriate drivers.

As far as I'm aware FAST never developed drivers for this card (or DV Master which I also used) for versions of Premiere beyond 4.2, although I believe a number of people have had partial success using later versions of Premiere.

Are the drivers you are using designed for Premiere v6? This may be the problem.

FWIW: If the card is used with Premiere, you might be able to get a lower cost trade-in on Pinnacle's Liquid Edition 5.5, which grew out of the FAST product line. While it is not one of the listed cards, a dealer might go for it.

Pinnacle now owns the FAST product lines, both the DAZZLE side and the FAST pro side.
