Canon CD label Print- import .exp files ?
A mate has been using ExPressit for his disc labels and his templates are.exp files.

He has just bought a IP5000 Canon printer with CD-Label Print is there any way or any program that will let him import his .exp templates and use then in the Canon software

Regards

Great printer, I have this one myself.

But I re-did any important labels.

Sorry.

Unfortunately, it seems, JPEGs only.

If I have a TIFF I want to use I convert it into a JPEG and then use it.

Hi John
It seems in ExPressit you have no option to save as a different format.

Unfortunately not.

The only option if you want to re-use is to print it at best quality on photo paper - then scan at high resoution - then make it a JPEG and paste it into the Canon software.

I get round printing problems that way. PDFFactory (part fo the FinePrint product) instals itself as a printer driver, so you can "print" to a PDF file from anything. Also, I've recently bought an HP printerm, and the software has installed a "Printscreen" function which will print either to the printer or to a file. There are lots of ways round these problems.

Not mich help with the Canon, though, as you need to import a JPEG.

You need to follow what I said earlier.

You can save a Printscreen in jpeg from the original or maybe in better quality as a saved pdf (IMHO ), this works great for GIS files as there is no quality loss.
Anyway as I said, 'Maybe not'

I recently bought some printable DVDs which can be printed right up to the hole. Unfortunately, Canon's CD-Lableprint does not allow adjustment of the centre hole dimensions small enough to enable printing up to the hole - unless you know differently.
Thanks

Hi Charles and thanks for that. In CD-Labelprint there is an option to reduce the inner circle but only by a limited amount, which was not small enough. Perhaps I've missed it and will check again this evening.
Thanks again

Hi John
You can only reduce the inner size to 17mm which i thought would be enough, have not come across the discs you appear to have so can't test.

Hello Charles
The maximum I can reduce the size of the inner circle is by -10.0mm giving me 33.0mm which is not small enough. How did you get 17mm please? I have version 1.0.2 of CD-LabelPrint which is the latest version, I think.
Thanks again

Hi John
I've version 1.0.0, all i do is File, paper setting, select New,then just click on down arrow, just tried it and it goes down to 17,on my hub printable i took it down to 23.

Don't know if version 1.0.2 is different in any way but would'nt have thought so.
