Canon MG6350 Printer has a problem as CYAN nozzle is blocked.
Tried all maintenance suggested without desired result.
Ended with 8 (eight) deep clean tries that exhausted a new magenta cartridge.
Any ideas to resolve this problem please?
http://www.castleink.com/category/82/Cleaning-Clogged-Canon-Print-Heads.html Google found this - I'm not sure if it's any use to you.
Thank you Tony, I'll try that when I have plenty of time. It looks risky..
Meanwhile I have the Epson XP600. Athough much cheaper than
the Canon I find it much easier to use and superior in many ways.
This month's 'Which' magazine has an article on inkjet printers.
Just bought an Epson Expression Premium XP-610 All-in-One Printer with Wi-Fi Direct and Double Sided Printing
Early days but all going very well so far, there's also £20 cashback until April 1st
I have a Canon MG5250 which will print double sides, but it seems to be quite slow when doing so.
Nothing directly to do with cleaning but, have you thought about a ciss, been using one for a couple of years now, much cheaper than cartridges, especially when you have clog problems.
Not head cleaning related, again, but what printer, CISS system and inks are you using Pete?

I use an Epson 1400 with Foto Rite ciss from these guys, I use the dye ink.
Tony. Had a look at the MG 6350 printer as per the Google you found. This is not possible with this printer.
The described process could have been used with my previous Canon i865. That was a very good printer.
I would not buy another Canon now.
The Epson you have is the previous model to my XP 600, bought last year at Tesco for £60
Peter. I am in the dark regarding CISS. Can you please give more details or information on where to look please?
Les, Specifically for your printer, look HERE
Thank you for that information Pete.
CISS is all news to me, but I am of advanced age and only an amateur. This is my hobby.
As in my first email I said I had done 8 deep cleans. Cyan was the missing colour.
Yesterday I repeated the clean proces. Cyan showed fine. Grey and Black did not show this time.
I wonder now how to proceed. Either dump thisCanon printer of invest in new cartridges?
The Canon MG 6350 cost was double that paid for the Epron ; which IMHO operates far better.
Invest in new cartridges, but don't spend premium money on the Canon originals.
I have been buying (many) cartridges for the family/work collection of six Canon inkjets - slightly different models but all taking the same cartridges - from Inkredible.

Giving it a try. Thank you Mark.
Since the last posting it has been a failing struggle with a Epson XP600 Printer. Below comments may be of interest.
Comparing this Epson with a Canon MG6350 printer: the Epson was very much faster.
This Cannon is dead slow but proved more reliable. Thank you Mark for the ink suggestion, they are very good.
The Epson has a much larger range for printing on to disc and will close the centre diameter to 18 m.m. Canon only 33 m.m.
The Epson deteriorated over time and the disc transport mechanism started to fail first. Later with printing and photo papers.
The Epson was returned for a refund after nine months. Three Canon' printers were delivered before this reliable one came.
The above is my own experience. I was warned about Epson on this forum so cannot complain. My extinct Canon i865 was
extremely good but eventually died after several years of use. My printing needs arelight to moderate.
The Canon 'CD Label Print' programme (was available for free download from the Canon Website) will cope with the small centre diameter disc printing - down to 16mm. I had a copy included years ago with a Canon ip6000 (?) printer, but had to go to the Canon website to download it for a later ip4950. You could try finding a copy of this, as most Canons seem to use the same included software for CD / DVD printing as standard, so CD Label Print may also work with Canon printers in general. If it does, then this would get rid of one of your disadvantages in comparing Epson with Canon.
There's a very specific sequence you have to go through with the CD-Label Print software to get it to print to a small centre diameter.
I've posted about it on here before.
Open the CD-LabelPrint program
Go File -> select paper -> click CD Label Print and choose Wide Printable CD from the CD Type List.
Then at the bottom of that window you'll see a highlighted "New" button. Click that and you can now define your settings for your particular disc - down to 17mm inner diameter - give it a meaningful name and save that as a preset for future use.

Thank you Mark and Nigel.
Have done as you state Mark. It looks fine. When I get to using I will post again.
MG6350 SUPPORT CODE 1403
COMING UP AS TYPE HEAD IS INCORRECT AND
INSTALL THE CORRECT PRINT HEAD
HELP PLEASE (DIDNT TOUCH A THING \HONEST)
Do a google search for ' MG6350 SUPPORT CODE 1403 canon ', there is a lot of information on the net about this type of error code. How old is your printer, is it time to re-place it?
I've just had this on a similar Canon printer. Googling suggests removing the print head, washing it under a hot running tap, then drying, reinstalling and running the print initialisation. It still failed at initial start up and I couldn't get to the tools menu to run the initialisation, so it's sitting in the garage awaiting a tip visit! Wasn't worth wasting my time and getting plastered in ink!
It was a 3rd printer that my daughter uses in her business, it was only used for printing b/w invoices so that's now being done on printer 1 & 2.
It's over two years since I had this printer problem. The advice, as stated in the previous emails, has cured my problem.
Ink cartridges from Inkcredible, as suggested by Mark.M. have always been used post problem.
This printer appears to have a mind of its own. Sometimes a print comes quickly, at other times it takes ages, as it does closing down.
The printer was ordered from Amazon and only the third sent behaved correctly. The Amazon service was first class for returns.
The August edition of 'Which' magazine has a review of a few printers, and also third party printer ink cartridge suppliers.
Do as follow:
- Remove the ink tanks and printer head from printer and seal ink tanks in zip locked plastic bad aside.
- Soak the printer head.
- Mix a 50/50 solution of warm water and Windex and place in a shallow container, enough to cover the base of the printer head and ink ports. Leave for 2 hours while agitating the unit occasionally. Remove from the mix and lightly scrub the base and internal ink ports with an old soft toothbrush. Do not scrub the gold contacts but don't be concerned if they get wet. Return the unit to the mix for another 2 hours and agitate occasionally. Remove and scrub again as before.
- Now flush the printer head with water.
- Dry the printer and replace.
Check Canon Pixma Mg6350 Manual for details and other alternative methods.
Had the same problem with an Epson.
Took it, in person, to an Epson repair place.
Left it in the shop and went back half an hour later.
The printer had been fixed.
Cost me £20.
Problem solved.
