For those who try to buy locally these are pretty good value (Sandisk) http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/sandisk-ultra-class-10-sdhc-memory-card-16-gb-twin-pack-17771646-pdt.html

But then 16gb Transcend class 10s are just over 9 quid each at the moment.

I was quite impressed with the Currys price because I was able to buy locally (and on the day I needed them), I'm assuming the transcend price is online?

Yes, online. I see your point about buying locally but unless you're out shopping (hate it) and pass a Currys then the cost of getting there, parking and so on make it cheaper to buy online even if its dearer if you see what I mean.

Currys do seem pretty competitive! We`ve (I`ve)
just treated my self to a new TV, a Samsung series 8 3D TV & Currys were the cheapest I could find on the high street & only £10.00 dearer than online!

Worth noting they are the Sandisk "Ultra" range - at sites like "MyMemory" you can get the far higher performing "Extreme" range (quoted at 45MBs - or 360Mbs) for only a couple of pounds more at the moment: http://www.mymemory.co.uk/SDHC/SanDisk/SanDisk-16GB-Extreme-SD-Card-%28SDHC%29-45MB_s---Class-10
