Hi All
Has anyone got any experience with the Datavideo SE2800 vision mixer, we have just got one of these at work and I am having trouble recording decent sound from the SDI out of our Canon XF350. As far as recording the picture I am sort of there but the sound is another problem. We do have a sound mixing desk but it is old and I think it is adding to the problem, however without the audio mixer I can still not get good sound, HEEELLLLPPPP.
Set up 1: Mic is connected to Camera XLR and camera is then connected direct to vision mixer using SDI out, sound is distorted. (SDI out carries sound and vision)
Set up 2: Mic is connected to audio mixer with XLR, then audio out from mixer to audio in on the vision mixer, sound still distorted.
Cheers Steve
I take it the mic audio monitored at camera and sound mixer is OK?
There is extensive coverage of the audio options de-embedding channels etc in the manual.
Plus this -
Audio Menu Options – Changing the audio input level The SE-2800 can change the incoming audio level on the video inputs by adjusting the following menu option. Input Audio Settings Level Nominal Range -60 to +60 Resets value to zero The audio level can also be changed at the external audio mixer if one is used - see our example on page 31.
Might that be the answer?
Correct, it is only sound being mixed in the vision mixer.
Best regards,
I will contact soon thanks.
I will ring again sometime next week when there are no students in.
Cheers Steve
