I recently videoed a Primary school production of "Annie" with the intention of making a copy for the school's archive. Due to the kids performance it seems that their parents would like to buy a copy. The performance lasts for about 90 Mins and after reading the MCPS guidelines my understanding is that the school can produce and sell a DVD of this performance provided that it is not any more than 120 Mins. All music was provided by the schools own music teacher on piano. Also I know about the LM licence and the payment(s) required.
The copyright information from the MCPS is a mine field so I am happy to take any advice on this topic. Could I apply for and use a LM licence for this production?
Many thanks and I will be grateful for any replies.

Call up PRS/MCPS and put the question to them.
They're incredibly helpful.
Called MCPS/PRS this morning and now know what the position is. Used the LML some years ago but as things always seem to change I needed to satisfy myself that I was doing the right thing. Thanks Mark.

er….
is it a secret?
you could tell us!
I am on several old motorbike forums and there is nothing worse than a "my bike is broken" thread followed by loads of helpful answers and the "I fixed it" with no hint as to what fixed the issue.
just sayin'
Given that my original post was 31 March it gave me the impression that no one seemed interested. But the answer can be read here under Inclusions Item 1.
