A few years ago, I recorded programs subtitles in vision with a Humax PVR, and copided them to my PC HDD using a program 9200T Read Files. The TS files were converted to Mp4 with MpegStreamclip, and I had a video file with subtitles.
I have recently done exactly the same thing. But now there are no subtitles, even though they were recorded in vision. VLC can show subtitles, but the displayed subs are not there if I use VLC to convert to Mp4.
I have tried Serif MoviePlus which can import TS files, but again the exported Mp4 does not show the subs. I am somewhat baffled by this, and wonder if it can be Win 10 at fault, as the previous conversions were Win7.
Any help much appreciated thanks.
Hi John, there may be something in the link which may be of use to you. http://www.brorsoft.com/knowledge/top-5-free-video-converter-for-windows.html
Thanks Tony.
Plenty there to try, but having used Mpeg Streamclip I don`t understand how the subs are removed from the video, when they are in vision. But it`s worth a try.
Tried them all, and found “Any Video Converter” to be very fast and shows the subs on output. So thanks very much for that info.
Well done John.
