I am editing with MediaStudioPro 5.2
My old MOBO is out
Solution : New MOBO Asus P4S533-x with Sis chipset and a 2.4 Intel processor.
I have obtain a real acceleration of rendering, minimum 3 time the speed calculation in 5.2 compared with a Intel MOBO VC820 + Intel chipset and PIII-800 Mhz
So AVmaster editing more fast
Installation seems to be OK and basic things were working
(Fastcapture, powerplay, mplayer opens avmaster files, etc....)
But only today I have to edit on these new system...
Problem is coming while using the scratchpads.
During the first actions in the scratch pad (play/stops)and previeuw, everything is going very well.....
but after +/- 10 play & stop in any scratchpad the system begins to be hesitating, taking long time to start the reading of files...(while powerplay preview and ripping on time line are still working well)
...and finaly.....freeze completely...
Only a hot restart on the tower button is possible...
Great frustration and disapointment ...
So if somebody can tell me what to do in thi case....he/she will be welcome...

Did you fix the problem? Who set up the bios in your new m/b? Did you just load defaults or did you know what you were doing? Try running SANDRA which you can get on 30 day trial to do a diagnostics and see if it throws up any errors in the bios which you can change? If you want to go through your settings e mail me!
MSPro 5.2 scratchpad could only handle clips up to 1GB. Are you sure you're not running into this limitation?

Absolutely Brian, I know these limitation.
I don't meet any problem when using Fastcapture and/or Powerplay...that means when using the memorycache
It stops only when I am reading from scratchpad or a windows mediaplayer...and sometimes it reads, sometimes it freezes.
So I think it's a speed communication problem of the MOBO (may be too fast)
