Re: One for the Action Guys!
Lidl stuff is good value for money.
The first time that I went to a Lidl, it was like shopping behind the iron Curtain! But that was 10 + years ago.
I have bought a bottle of wine from there (Pape) and it was great for £10.
I really only buy tools from both Lidl and Aldi.
I have loads of cheap sanders/routers and air tools.
I figure that with the light use that I use them for, they won't wear out in years. I have a decent Sealy compressor and everything from tyre inflators to impact guns as I do up old bikes.
So I'd guess that a £90 "go pro" is quite good value. It'd be interesting to compare. I recently bought a GP2 from Costco for £200 and a bit

Re: One for the Action Guys!
I recently bought a vibrating multi tool! It has various size "bits" with serated edges on. Madam said "what do you want that for?" when we put the old studio back to being a bedroom I used it to cut oblong boxes in the skirting board so that I could "Flush Mount" the electrical socket boxes, earned a few brownie points as well.
Re the Cam, I will probably get one in readiness for a holiday we`re having next year.

Re: One for the Action Guys!
That's my point.
I have a Bosch multitool that cost around £100 and I've used it in anger 10 times. I won't wear it out.
My only problem with Lidl's stuff is that the minirouter that I have has bits that are a weird size. And the belt sander ditto

Re: One for the Action Guys!
My multi tool cost £29.95, the "bits" for it are a standard fit! Based on your costings of a £100 purchase I would have to buy 3 tools to equal your use, each having worn out. I`ve already made excellent use of these. Granted, Bosch is a very good manufacturer & if you were using professionally I would opt for the Bosch one.

Re: One for the Action Guys!
any results yet Barry/
I have a hero 2 and one of those chinese ones that there was discussion about a couple of years ago. Another wouldn't hurt if it's ok.
There's very little info on the Lidl website.

Re: One for the Action Guys!
Sorry, been away all day to an Aden Veterans Re-Union, 46 years since the withdrawel! At the moment, madam`s not happy with me buying it, never mind! I`ll try it out after the weekend when she`s at work but with the little amount I`ve tried with it I was fairly impressed, come with a good array of mountings, waterproof case (to 60M) & for £89.99! I will definately make use of it when I swim in the ultimate infinity pool next year " The Devils Pool"
I`ll post again when I`m able, but for my money it seems worth it.
