Printing a CD/DVD cover

I only print a few CD/DVD lables a year, and have used acoustica Label Maker for years. But somewhere between XP and Win 7, it decided it was the trial version, and the trial had ended. I could extend the trial and have done until now, when it has stopped working.

I searched, and tried a good few label makers, both free and paid for. Avery Design print is free, but will not show or print guide or fold lines, Sure Thing looks good until you find that text cannot be set at an angle, it just reverts to horizontal. AudioLabel is the only one that works what I call properly, and prints a cover with outlines, and you can tilt text at any angle. Also, you can have more than one column if you use the “insert text box” as you can only make one track list, as it appears in most of these programs.  For around £20 it`s a winner.

CD-Label print? Not too far back is that answer to a question I put on this forum.

Try that John. If you do not get anywhere, get back to me and I'll try.

Re: Printing a CD/DVD cover

Thanks les.
I did a search, and CD label Print goes to NCH software/ Disketch. I have tried that, but I doesn`t work on win 10.
I have found Audiolabel works very well.  I wish I could use the program that came with my now broken Canon printer. But it needs the printer plugged in.

Re: Printing a CD/DVD cover

The link stated in that posting worked without a printer plugged in.

Don't know about Windows 10.  Premiere Pro CS6  will not work with windows 10 so I'm staying with Windows 7.

Thanks Les.

Tried a search, and everything goes to NCH software and Disketch. So I have decided to go with AudioLabel.

CD Label Print and Premiere CS6 work just fine with Windows 10.  So do Photoshop CS6, After Effects CS6 and Audition CS6 - though the latter may need some playing with the audio driver settings to work.

Hi Alan.

Photoshop Elements 10 open but freezes, Photoshop CS2 doesn`t work, but Audition 3 works fine with Win 10 as does Vegas pro 12. Apart from that, I like Win 10 , so it stays.

I'm confused (which is often the case) . . .  CD/DVD LABELS?

Hi Ron confused about what!  DC/DVD labels do not just mean printing for the Cd/DVD, that stick on the disk, which is not recommended,  but for printing the cover for the box. Some programs are more complex than others, and I prefer the simple way.
