Hello!!!. I keep on feeling happy with AvMaster but I have some questions:
- I work with FastCapture 2.1, what have I to do to capture clips with more than 2 Gb?, I heard about multifile capture but I don't find it.
- I want to pass my captures to vcd. I've passed sucessfully many divx films but now I want to pass my vhs and Canopus Procoder says that the format is not supported. Is there any way to pass the captures to MPEG1 with the same quality as Canopus Procoder?.
Thanks very much.
What operating system and video editing sw are you using?
I use MSP6 with WIN98SE and use Fast Cap 2.5 which has an option for grabbing 2gb chunks.
I have used CPro Coder but tmpg is just as good and free. You can either render the 2gb parts individual or you can frameserve them to tmpg via virtual dub.
Upgrade to 2.5 and then choose muti capture and you will be given the option of entering the size in mb of your "chunks" I normallu use 1900mb. At the top of the screen you must choose the drive you want to save to and click ADD.....thats you all set up!
When you have all the parts
1. Open virtual dub and load the 1st part then append the rest
2. Start the frameserver and it will save a little file.....minimise VD now but keep it running
3. Open tmpg and click the video button and browse to the little file.....choose ALL FILES in the drop down to see it.
4. Load the little file and click START and it will now render your whole movie to vcd or svcd or whatever you choose!
Thanks very much. I use Canopus Procoder because it creates Vcds that I can play perfectly in my Napa Dav-311 without jumps or colour blocks. Your response gives me goden information, thanks again
