I have just got a pack of Verbatim BD-RE discs and using IMGBurn a pop up message said they needed to be formatted. When asked by Imgburn if I wanted to format the disc I clicked on Yes and the erasure started but when it reached 60% the whole system collapsed and the format failed. The discs are now unusable and won't work with any burning programme. Another forum suggested that Verbatim had changed the dyes and that Imgburn and other programmes could not cope. the one disc I had left I tried to burn an ISO to it using Windows ISO burner and it worked with no problem, but Windows would not burn again to the disc and treated it as a BD-R. Has anyone got any ideas how I can re-format these discs and make them usable again.

Hi Roy, I did a google search for ' Verbatim BD-RE formatting problems ' and it seems that you are not alone on this one There are several people who are having problems. Tony C.
