Last night in a forum thread that I subscribed to one of the users edited his post more than a dozen times.
Each time he edited it the forum software sent me an e-mail containing the whole post.
I didn't really need to see each of the revisions, (though in this case it was interesting as the user had a change of heart and eventually deleted the entire posting).
Is it possible to create some sort of delay in sending out a subscribed thread notification to give users a chance to reflect upon and edit their posts?
Cheers
Mark

Re: E-mail subscriptions - allow time for editing before ...
I've had a look at this, messages will no longer send instantly. I do not know if you'll still get an email for each revision, I suspect you will. I can turn off email on comment edits in which case you'd get the first version only via email.
i'll have a think if there are other ways to get this working better.

Re: E-mail subscriptions - allow time for editing before ...
I prefer the email notification as it was, all the delay does for me is add delay to noting replies to subscribed posts

The editing and subsequent resending of the notification is a quirk of the forum and only a minor nuisance.
A editing fix would still be appreciated, I know I should use preview before I post more often

I've reverted to the instant sending, this has got rid of the sent from anonymous bug that we had.
I'm going to leave this alone for a bit, I can't find a simple way to create the functions we want.
